Cashew Halwa



Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup cashew nuts
  • 6 tsp sugar
  • A pinch of kesar colour (orange-yellow colour)
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • A pinch of cardamom powder

Method

Soak cashews in water for an hour. Boil milk in a pan till it thickens.
Drain the water from the cashews and grind to a fine paste. Add this paste when the milk starts thickening. After a few minutes add sugar and kesar colour.
Keep stirring till the halwa thickens. Add cardamom powder, ghee and remove from flame.
Serve chilled.
